The Amie St Clair Melanoma Trust is dedicated to raising awareness of melanoma. The trust actively supports medical research and endeavours to provide better access to specialised care for the communities of the Wagga Wagga region.

Jackson (Jacko) Strong

Jackson (Jacko) Strong

Local legend Jackson (Jacko) Strong is a motocross rider who regularly performs in front of crowds of up to and over 15,000. He started riding with the Crusty Demons at 13, then at 15 he got his first big break when in 2007 he became the youngest rider to backflip a full-size motorcycle on the Unleash Hell tour. Jacko has a reputation as one of the sport’s most fearless riders. It was his approach, work ethic and discipline that led to his invite to join the Metal Mulisha, a group of freestyle motocross riders with close to a cult following in the sport.

Wagga Live, Wagga Wagga’s New Year’s Eve spectacular celebrates coming together as a community and reflecting on the past year. The city's Civic Centre comes to life with entertainment starting in the evening, rolling right through to impressive firework displays at both 9pm and midnight. Entertainment is provided on two stages and split by the popular eat street, offering a wide variety of food options to suit any taste. Wagga Live aims to contribute to the economic and social fabric of the Wagga Wagga community.
Lake Run and Ride

Lake Run and Ride

The Wagga Lake Run and Ride has been going since 1972. Walk, run or cycle 10km through the streets of Wagga and around Lake Albert for free in this iconic community participation event. Formerly known as the Wagga Lake to Lagoon Fun Run and Family Cycle, the event was originally titled the Wagga City to Lake. The event is usually held on the second Sunday in September – is FREE and includes the unusual mix of family cyclists, runners and walkers. For many, the Lake Run and Ride is an iconic regional event not to be missed every year – and as such is part of the fabric of the community.

Wagga Trail Marathon

The Wagga Trail Marathon brings trail runners from around NSW, starts and finishes at the Wagga Beach, following the Wiradjuri Walking Track around some of the best walking trails the City has to offer. Runners and riders are greeted by some of the fantastic natural areas including Lake Albert, the Murrumbidgee River and Pomingalarna Reserve. This 2 day event brings in tourism and business for locals and shows off our beautiful city.

The Wagga Golf Pro-Am brings with it players from all over NSW, tourism and business for Wagga Wagga.

Turvey Park Softball Club organises Softball and Tball teams for Males and Females aged 4-Adult. They are a community of players who enjoy having fun while competing and supporting each other to develop skills.
REA Showjumping

REA showjumping club is based at the Charles Sturt University of Wagga Wagga and have members of all levels ranging from beginners right through to world cup riders and have training and competition days that cater for everyone in-between.
REA Wagga Horse Trials

REA Wagga Horse Trials

The REA Wagga Horse Trials Club brings like-minded people and their horses together in the Riverina district to enjoy the sport of eventing. The club provides training opportunities (cross country training and professional clinics), friendly competitions, and runs one to two official events a year.

AFL Riverina consists of 4 leagues which include: Farrer Football & Netball League, Riverina Football & Netball League, South West Junior Football League, and Wagga & District Junior Football League.

Football Wagga Wagga

Football Wagga is a sporting association that provides junior and senior competitions for teams from Wagga, Tumut, Temora, Junee and Cootamundra.
